101 years ago today, WOMEN were granted the right to vote in the United States of America with the passing of the 19th Amendment.

In California, where I have lived all my life women were granted the right the vote in 1911. Click the link for the history of Women’s Suffrage in California.

I don’t take for granted the ability to vote. I don’t usually vote in the municipal elections, but I have voted in every Presidential race since I turned 18, in an election year, and just about every mid term.
